Extracurricular activities and athletics in D113 serve to provide students with the opportunity to become authentically engaged in the campus community, gain a deeper sense of belonging, and enhance their learning. Leaders and members of extracurriculars have the opportunity to create inclusive communities for the student body which support D113’s mission of unwavering commitment to providing all students opportunities to realize their unique potential through a rigorous and engaging curriculum, meaningful relationships, varied experiences, a positive school culture, and the cultivation of individual passion and resilience. By engaging in authentic participation, students are able to develop leadership skills, meet peers with similar interests, and contribute positively to their D113 experience.
