Dear District 113 Families and Staff, 

As you may be aware, the Illinois State Board of Education, ISBE, recently awarded a six-year contract to ACT as the provider of the state’s required accountability assessment for graduation. That means that after nearly a decade of taking the SAT, high school students in Illinois will shift back to taking the ACT in spring 2025. 

At ISBE's most recent assessment webinar July 12, the state shared that they will provide more information regarding the administration of the ACT once the contract is fully executed. We hope that this will be completed for their next webinar on July 26. 

While we wait for that information from ISBE, we know that our families, students, and staff need accurate and timely information to adapt, so I want to assure you that we will be communicating details and deadlines as frequently as necessary while navigating this change. 

District 113 aims to provide each student with the opportunities and support needed to be successful in all areas of their high school experience. Please take the time to read through the testing information below.
