Emergency School Closings / e-Learning Days
The safety of students and staff is the first priority in District 113. For safety reasons, severe weather or other emergency may lead to the decision to close school or alter the day's schedule through a delayed start, early release or e-Learning day. Using the best information available at the time when the decision needs to be made, the Superintendent determines whether to close school or alter the day's schedule.
District 113 will communicate with families and staff through the following means:
- Email address on file in Infinite Campus (parents/guardians), District 113 email address (students and staff)
- Text message to cell phone number on file in Infinite Campus (parents/guardians and students), Skyward (staff)
- Phone call to all phone numbers on file in Infinite Campus (parents/guardians and students), Skyward (staff)
- Push notification to those who downloaded the District 113 app and have notifications enabled
